North Long Beach's "Unsigned Paradigm to Poetry" to Open for Saul Williams at The Federal Underground
Long Beach native and “unsigned paradigm to poetry” Charlie Scott III, better known in the city’s small-town spoken word scene as Philosophy, will guest star alongside Rayzak Hassan at The Federal Underground as part of Saul Williams’ MartyrLoserKing world tour stop.
Tomorrow marks National Repeal Day, the anniversary of a very important day when Americans no longer had to deal with parched throats or organized crime (at least they didn’t have to do deal with it as prevalently) since the government amended the 21st Amendment to formally repeal the 18th Amendment, ending the era known as Prohibition.
CSULB alumn and slam poet will perform in Long Beach.
Charlie Scott III discovered his calling while taking a poetry class at the California State University, Long Beach.
“It’s the first day I’m ever reading a poem aloud, and I’m super passionate—I’m giving everything I have to this poem, like it’s the last words I’ll say on this earth,” Scott said.
Saul Williams’s MartyrLoserKing world tour is stopping in Long Beach. Philosophy along with Rayzak Hassan will guest star at this highly anticipated Spoken Word Performance on Tuesday, December 15 at 8:30 pm at the Federal Underground, 102 Pine Ave., Long Beach, CA 90802.
